2. Don't rent a car at the airport.

Renting a car at the airport is always more expensive than if you get it after you are in your hotel.

Also, almost all flights arrive in the evening. You will probably be quite tired and ready for your hotel room. So why spend money for a car to sit in the hotel parking lot?

The best advice is to take a cab to a hotel near the airport and order a car for the morning. You'll save a day of rental and avoid the high airport rental rates.

Typical car rental companies include Hertz, Tilden, Dollar-Rent-A-Car, etc. and they operate basically the same as in any other country.
